Music in Theme

The last few months in world have been lonely ones to say the least. My situation in RL has kept me out of world, but when I am in it, I am often wishing I had someone to share it with.  I have been listening to a lot of music and found some amazing things that trigger me to that headspace often...

After doing that, I started to have some serious episodes of reminiscent of the 80's. A time when I grew up with big hair, neon clothes and my first love of Vintage Goth and what it started out as and where it has come to go.  With that said, I started looking to a lot of Depeche Mode this morning and began to realize just how strong their lyrics were as well.  Initially this all curled up into one big huge ball of emotion that kept me not realizing how far out of reach a partner (read Dominate) was for me.  I have, in just the last week alone... muted over a handful of them just based on the first 10 minutes of conversation and the idiot things that people say...

I didn't used to be but ...that has changed so this rings very true.

1. Respect their need for privacy.

3. Let them observe first in new situations
4. Give them time to think, don't demand instant answers
5. Don't interrupt them
6. Give them advance notice of expected changes in their lives
7. Give them 15 minute warnings to finish whatever they are doing
8. Reprimand them privately
9. Teach them new skills privately
10. Enable them to find one best friend who has similar interests and abilities
11. Don't push them to make lots of friends
12. Respect their introversion, don't try to remake them into extroverts.
